What has come from our table reads?
One year down! We’ve had a year of table reads! We were able to do 5 this year, and we’re slated to do 6 this coming year! This Year In Numbers: 16 new plays worked, 10 new authors, 75 new roles That’s a whole lotta theatre!
Episodic Theatre! “Waiting for Mallow” (Read in our October 2025 table read) was accepted as a one off into Serials at the Know Theatre of Cincinnati!
The Fringe Circuit Zoë Peterson brought an early draft of “Momento Holly” to our first table read in August, and it was selected as part of the 2026 primary lineup at Cincy Fringe, a juried and curated festival in Cincinnati that happens the first two weeks of June every year. Paid Opportunities Elizabeth Kopras will have the opportunity to bring “Trauma Makes Great Drama” to Ghostlight’s One Act Double Feature: a paid opportunity for playwrights! Kopras brought this play to be workshopped at our first table read.
Get in on the ground floor! Actors, being one of the first people to read a project is a GREAT way to get connected with local playwrights. You could know about the next big thing before anyone else (and know who to talk to about casting ahead of time!)

We started our new works table reads back in August of 2025. Now, give or take a few weeks, we’ve done a full year of them! It’s super important to me that artists in Cincinnati feel like they have a space to present their work and bounce ideas off of others. I’m so thankful that so many people have allowed me to do that with them. Next one is September 27th at 8Cats, can’t wait to see you there!
